How and when did you find your inner showgirl Queen of confidence?
“I believe that showgirl confidence comes from understanding your body. Uniqueness is the most beautiful thing about bodies and acceptance of that is key. I studied as a dancer and spending hours staring at my own reflection shone light on my imperfections, helping me accept them and use to my power as a showgirl.
It then becomes about the energy you give off and less about appearances.“
Best advice for others seeking their inner confidence?
“Never compare yourself to others. Confidence is personal and will hold very different meaning from person to person. Perfect comes in many guises.”
Favourite Old Hollywood starlet/ burlesque performer that has inspired you?
“There are so many to mention…Cyd Charisse for her commanding, controlled, magnetic energy when she danced, oozing sensual elegance!
Ladies like Lucille Ball & Gwen Verdon for giving all the drama and characterization, proving you can be sexy and funny all at once.
And Marlene Dietrich! My ultimate style icon.”
